Michael Stuhlbarg, known for his rolls in Boardwalk Empire and Hugo, is in talks with Marvel to play a major character in Doctor Strange. While details are being kept very close to the chest, Stuhlbarg is rumored to being considered for Nicodemus West, the big bad of The Oath. Coincidentally, I wrote an entire article about if this film is based on The Oath just a few days ago.
This would seem to deny the idea that Mads Mikkelsen is being considered for West or imply that Mikkelsen is no longer in the running for the character. For now, only time will tell.
