Hawkeye Back In Costume

Recently, Jeremy Renner posted a picture on Twitter of himself in his Hawkeye costume. He wrote with it, “Tues morn. I find myself in costume again. I just can’t tell you why. And it still fits! #marvel #avengers #hawkeye”. The mystery surrounding this has sprouted a few theories as to what Renner could be doing as Hawkeye that is so secretive.

It could be as simple as reshoots. Often movies will come back and reshoot a couple scenes that the produces didn’t like. It is odd to do this so late in the game, but not entirely unheard of. Many times, reshoots mean that the original version is not the best quality, therefore it needs to be altered. If this is the case, it could explain why Renner isn’t allowed to tell us why, for fear of the public thinking the movie is not looking good just yet.

Some fans believe that Hawkeye is featured in the post-credits of Age of Ultron, which are not necessarily filmed at the same time as the rest of the movie. Guardians of the Galaxy was complete before the producers even decided on putting Howard the Duck in. It could be that Hawkeye is in the post-credits scene of the Avengers 2 (think Schwarma).

Future Movies

The third theory says that Hawkeye has found his way into a future Marvel movie. Unfortunately, there is no obvious movie being filmed at the moment. Captain America 3 doesn’t begin filming until April and Ant-Man is already completed. Still, some fans say that Renner getting back into costume is a sure-fire deal for another movie.

What do you think? Are we making too big of a deal out of this? Why do you think Renner was in costume? Only time will tell, but let me know what you think!
