“I’m here to talk to you about the Avenger Initiative.” With one simple sentence, Iron Man ensured that no Marvel fan will ever leave the theaters until the projector is turned off, to the fury of movie theater workers everywhere. Not only have the post-credits scenes been humorous in many instances, they also have been the glue that holds the MCU together.
With all that in mind, let’s turn our attention to the upcoming Captain America movie. With less than two weeks remaining, what will the post credits entail? The way I see it, there are three major possibilities.
Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver
It’s quite possible that we’ll get our first look at the brother-sister duo in costume. A few days ago, we received the concept art for the twins (above). It’s likely that we’ll catch a glimpse of the twins in the after-Cap credits.
Baron Von Strucker
Baron Von Strucker has been confirmed for the beginning of The Avengers: Age of Ultron. It’s possible that we will see the Hydra villain in the post-credits of Cap 2, in order to introduce him for the Avengers movie. Also, rumor has it that he will be the link between the Avengers and the previously mentioned twins, so a single scene might contain Baron Von Strucker, Scarlett Witch, and Quicksilver.
Fine, I’ll admit it. I list this through the sheer determination of my will. Frankly, I think that the villain needs to be introduced before the upcoming Avengers movie. Nothing I have heard, read or seen has led me to believe it is likely, but I pray that we will see Ultron make his debut.
So there we have it. There have been rumors claiming to know the post-credits and, to the rumor mill’s credit, such rumors were correct with the post-credits of Iron Man 3 AND Thor 2. These rumors claim (possible spoiler) a scene with the Baron holding the twins in containment.
No matter what, I am very excited to see the upcoming Captain America epic. Make sure to stay until the total end of the credits, just in case there are multiple scenes. As for what those scenes contain, only time will tell.
